Thorley Day Nursery is an independent, privately owned and run 22 place children's nursery situated on the main route between Timperley and Hale villages. Off-road parking places are provided for the safe delivery and collection of Nursery children. There is a wealth of indoor and outdoor materials and equipment. The inside of the Nursery provides a calm, welcoming and pleasant environment.

We accept children from the age of 3 months and are Ofsted approved. Surestart grants are available for children aged 3 and 4 years.

The emphasis is on social, emotional and educational development. Mrs Wills is a qualified and experienced Nursery / Infant teacher; the staff have been especially chosen for their wide experience in childcare.

We are open from 8.00 am to 6 pm Monday to Friday excepting Bank Holidays. A minimum of 2 days per week is offered.

We aim to achieve the Early Learning Goals set out by the Department for education and Skills (DfES), in all of the six areas of learning. The six areas of learning are:-

• Personal, Social and Emotional Development
• Communication, Language and Literacy
• Mathematical Development
• Knowledge and Understanding of the World
• Physical Development
• Creative Development

The daily routine (meeting and greeting, relating “news”) and the continuous provision (constructive play, role play, sand, outdoor play) cover all areas of the Early learning Goals which are further enhanced by theme work.
